I love this country

So I made it safe to Dublin yesterday (sunday) ... My new boss picked me up at the airport and checked me in to a Hotel two min from the company office.

As I had the rest of the day off I decided to check out the city even if it was Sunday and the shops would be closed (or so I thourght ... )

I have now been living my whole life in Denmark where only gasstations, Kiosks and 7/11 are open on Sunday - and in Germany I couldn't even find a bakery open on Sundays..

So my surprice was big when I reached the citycenter and found most of the shops and shoppingcenters open till 6pm - Wuhuuuu

I am going to looove living in this country.

Sometimes I am too lucky!!!

Something strange happend tonight...

My Mobile rang tonight and wondered who would be calling me as not many people haas my number...
It turned out to be the European HR department of IBM in Hungary with whom I had had interviews 3 weeks ago - they wanted to invite me for an Interview with the manager -
All i could do was tell them that I now had a Job from monday and therefore could not take a job with them.

The good thing was that they told me that if I was interested in working for them in the future I sould give them a call..

It always good to know that I would have had a good chance to workfor IBM if I had not gotten the job in Dublin.

All this just proves that I am too lucky and that applications over the internet (monster.com) does work.

After 3 years it looks like I am joining the long list of people who can officially call themselves AIESEC ALUMNI.

Today I had the 2nd interview with a company in Dublin, Ireland who are interested in giving me a job as Business Development Consultant for the Scandinavian region.
It turned out that the HR manager of the company was Danish so the interview went much easier then I had expected.

The next task is a 1,5 hour meeting with the boss of the department I will be working for in Dublin Airport.
The company is flying me in for the interview - something else then AIESEC where you would be asked to pay for your own flight if you really want the job.

So it looks like I am going on to the Heading for the Future stage soon.
